Wishcovery Season 2 Stages Successful Grand Finals Night, Names Rhea Basco Grand Winner

After three months of fierce sing-offs, Wishcovery Season 2 successfully staged its grand finals night on February 26, Tuesday, at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum, with Rhea Basco of Camp Jungee taking the grand prize.

The Taguig City-based singer received Php 1 million peso-worth of cash prize. This is on top of the Php 1 million peso-worth of contract she won, together with a house and lot, and a brand-new car.

Camp Top’s contender, Nashrenne Casas, meanwhile won Php 500,000 as the show’s 1st runner-up.

Second runner-up Jemy Picardal, hailing from Camp Rannie, secured Php 300,000. Another Php 100,000 was handed out to Camp Ortiz’s Paula Guevara who won 3rd runner-up.

The remaining Wishcoverees among the eight grand finalists — which include Anna Marie Guinsisana (Camp Vehnee), Angelica Bermoy (Camp Boy Christopher), Audrey Rose Arellano (Camp Odette), and Tweetie Salas (Camp Noel) — received Php 50,000 each as a consolation prize.

For the second season, the online singing show produced by Wish 107.5 gave out a total of Php 2.1 million pesos to the top contenders. This is apart from the Php 700,000 given to the the charitable groups chosen by the finalists.

Wishcovery, another brainchild of Wish 107.5 innovator Kuya Daniel Razon, was launched with the aim of discovering and honing aspiring Filipino singing gems.
