Wishers’ Picks: 10 Wishclusives That Won Your Hearts in the Past Decade

It’s been 10 years since the Wish Bus first rolled out, bringing the magic of live music closer to fans. This unique on-the-road musical experience has quickly become a fixture in the scene, catering to both established and emerging artists. Over the years, the Wish Bus has also been duplicated in other global music hubs, including the US and South Korea.

In celebration of our first decade, we recently asked you, our Wishers, about the Wish Bus performances that have made a lasting mark on your hearts. In this article, we present your top 10 picks.

SB19 — “GENTO”

SB19’s Wish Bus stints have always sent the digital space abuzz. While this Wishclusive version of “GENTO” is no different, it has become a standout performance from the P-pop giant. After all, it’s a performance of a song whose empowering lyrics and infectious rhythm made it an anthem resonating with audiences worldwide.

With raw energy and impeccable synchronization, the P-pop giant delivered a watershed moment with their powerful rendition of the chart-topping hit. Celebrating Josh’s, Justin’s, Ken’s, Pablo’s, and Stell’s rise to prominence, this song conveys a compelling message of their growth as a group.

SB19 made their Wish Bus debut in 2019, performing “Go Up” and “Tilaluha.” They have since taken over the other Wish Buses — both in the US and Korea — with performances as a group and as solo artists.

IV of Spades — “Mundo”

IV of Spades burst onto the music scene in 2017 with their unique blend of alternative rock and funk. The then-four-piece act quickly gained a dedicated following, making a name for themselves at a time when the OPM band scene was experiencing a renewed energy, fueled by a slew of talented groups releasing original music.

Without a doubt, “Mundo” is the band’s most memorable hit. With its introspective lyrics and melodic hooks, it has become a smash hit that showcases the band’s ingenuity. This Wishclusive has achieved 176 million views to date.

Even after vocalist Unique left the band, “Mundo” remained a crowd favorite. Their performance at the 4th Wish Music Awards is just one proof of the song’s enduring power — a power that becomes even more evident when experienced live.

Morissette — “Secret Love Song” (Little Mix)

Ah, the Wishclusive that launched a bunch of reaction videos from foreign creators. The year was 2016, and the content creation game on YouTube was hitting new heights.

But virality aside, Morissette’s Wish Bus performance of this Little Mix song is nothing short of phenomenal. It’s a breathtaking display of Morissette’s vocal prowess. Dubbed “Asia’s Phoenix,” Morissette is one of the Philippines’ most celebrated singers. This Wish Bus performance showcased her versatility as an artist and her ability to effortlessly transition from powerful belts to delicate whispers.

After all these years, this Wishclusive remains well-loved, attracting both longtime fans who want to relive the performance and new listeners who have just discovered the stellar artist that is Morissette. As of writing, it remains Wish’s most-viewed video at 220 million.

BINI — “Karera”

No Wishclusive can be more fitting to describe BINI’s rise to fame than “Karera.” The line “Huwag magalala, buhay ay ‘di karera” perfectly encapsulates their story — one that proves that success is often a steady climb and not a race.

In this performance, the eight talented ladies show why they’re a force to be reckoned with in the scene. But apart from highlighting their artistry, Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena more importantly deliver an inspiring message of perseverance and self-belief. The song, if anything, is a reminder for you to chase your dreams and live your life at your own pace, without comparing yourself to others.

Want more of BINI? Here’s a Wishclusive performance of their hit songs “Pantropiko” and “Huwag Muna Tayong Umuwi.”

Skusta Clee — “Umaasa”

Soulful and emotive, this track from one of the most prominent figures in Philippine hip-hop has already reached nearly 30 million views on YouTube. Putting Skusta Clee’s artistic range on full display, the song sees him transcend the boundaries of hip-hop, delving deep into personal notes of heartbreak while delivering tasteful vocal runs.

“Umaasa”, with its poignant lyrics, creates an atmosphere that evokes deep feelings of vulnerability and longing. As with most songs, when performed live, the track becomes even more intricate.

KZ Tandingan — “Tadhana” (UDD)

In one of the most iconic performances on the Wish Bus, Asia’s Soul Supreme KZ Tandingan breathed new life to an already outstanding track from UDD. With her Wishclusive rendition of “Tadhana,” she delivers a masterclass of how song covers should be done — fresh and unique.

Her ability to inject her own musicality into the songs she interprets is a huge reason why she’s one of the country’s most revered performers. Making the most of her vocal range, she makes sure that her renditions are imbued with raw emotions to make them relatable to the audience. Her “stage” presence — whether performing on a real stage or on a more intimate venue like the Wish Bus — is impeccable. And it’s particularly evident in this video.

TJ Montere — “Palagi”

Hailing from Cagayan De Oro, TJ Monterde established a name for himself in the OPM scene with LSS-worthy, kilig-inducing songs. From being one of the industry’s most promising figures, he emerged as a no-nonsense storyteller who can voice out the sincerest sentiments of the heart.

His Wishclusive performance of “Palagi” especially strikes a chord not only because it sends a message of unwavering love and commitment toward one’s romantic partner. It’s also a pivotal song that he released as an independent artist. The sweet-sounding track earned him a Wish award earlier in January. But the real icing on the cake is how he was able to perform it with South Korean act 10CM, adding a truly unique twist to the certified hit.

Cup of Joe and Janine Teñoso — “Tingin”

There’s nothing quite like finding a modern OPM duet to gush over. In today’s musical landscape filled with all sorts of songs released week after week after week, “Tingin” proves to be a breath of fresh air.

This Wish Bus performance, which has now reached over a million, spotlights two of the most well-rounded acts today: Cup of Joe and Janine Teñoso. The track lends a contemporary flavor to the OPM love song — it’s undeniably sweet and sublimely straightforward. This video makes it extra special as it the artists’ undeniable vocal chemistry and prowess. With the perfect blend of Cup of Joe’s smooth melodies and Janine’s dynamic delivery, it’s not hard to see why this Wishclusive is a favorite among Wishers.

Regine Velasquez-Alcasid — “Araw Gabi”

In the Philippines, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid is an artist’s artist. The Asia’s Songbird, who was also named the KDR Icon of Musical Excellence at the 8th Wish Music Awards, has a decades-spanning career that has inspired many generations of Filipino singers today.

One of her signature hits is this Ryan Cayabyab-penned opus (On a side note, the National Artist for Music was the inaugural recipient of the KDR Icon of Musical Excellence award). Velasquez-Alcasid’s performance of this song aboard the Wish Bus was one of the most anticipated moments in Wish’s history. The timeless masterpiece showcases the legend’s seemingly effortless vocal prowess.

Bringing a top-notch performance to the Wish Bus, this video is just one of the many, many testaments to her ever-shining artistic brilliance.

Gloc-9 (feat. Lirah Bermudez) — “Businessman”

Gloc-9 originally recorded “Businessman” with Vinci Montaner of Parokya Ni Edgar. In December 2014, the esteemed rapper delivered a Wish Bus performance of this song, featuring musician Lirah Bermudez.

The song itself is proof of music’s power and how well-written tracks like this can catalyze social change (or at least raise awareness of societal issues). The recorded Wishclusive performance of it is another story: It was the first-ever Wishclusive to be uploaded on the Wish YouTube channel.

Shot on the Wish Bus almost a decade ago, it shows Wish 107.5’s beginnings. While the video quality itself isn’t on par with current ones, it’s a milestone moment that introduced what the brand has been championing since day one: At the end of the day, it’s the music — and the artists’ passion for it — that are truly in the spotlight.
