Zild and ONE CLICK STRAIGHT Hold the ‘RADBAT’ Double Album Tour

Multiawarded singer-songwriter Zild and four-piece Filipino indie troupe ONE CLICK STRAIGHT are holding a series of mall tours to promote their latest albums, “Medisina” and “ONE CLICK STRAIGHT,” respectively.

ONE CLICK STRAIGHT announced their much-anticipated joint tour dubbed “RADBAT: A Double Album Tour” with fellow OPM act and friend Zild on May 15.

During their Roadshow interview in 2022, ONE CLICK STRAIGHT revealed that they will have a tour this year and were launching their sophomore album following their 2018 offering, “The Midnight Emotion,” in the first part of 2023.

“You can expect a new album in January, our second album. It’s gonna be a full-length kind of thing. So, yeah, and hopefully, a tour as well. So if you’re following the band, thanks, and hope to see you at the shows,” the “Paraiso” act shared.

Fans of Zild and ONE CLICK STRAIGHT can catch the RADBAT mall shows on the following dates and venues:

• May 19 – Ayala Malls Manila Bay – Parañaque City
• May 20 – MarQuee Mall – Pampanga
• May 28 – Ayala Malls Solenad – Laguna
• July 01 – Harbor Point – Olongapo
• July 02 – Market! Market! – Taguig City
• August 12 – Ayala Malls Circuit – Makati City

More dates and venues will be announced via the OPM acts’ social media pages in the coming days.

Zild and ONE CLICK STRAIGHT’S music both evoke a sense of nostalgia. Their songs, which unpretentiously and unapologetically talk about human emotions and candid observations, are powerful enough to transport listeners back to certain moments in their lives that they wish to immortalize. And their upcoming “RADBAT” tour will serve as a special gathering for those who also want to capture and keep stories and experiences through good music.

“‘Medisina,’ my new album. It is about mundane, youthful emotions, friendship/community, insecurities, love, career frustrations, childhood nostalgia, and post-teen feelings. Growing up in the city and traveling around Cubao or Manila is a huge inspiration [for] this record,” Zild shared on Twitter his inspiration behind his third album.

In Zild’s latest album, the stirring and somber single “Medisina” and the wistful piece “Lumang Kanta” are his personal favorites. The electrifying track “Isang Anghel,” which is about the narrator’s willingness to brave the odds and complexities of life just as long as he could spend it with his special someone, got him a nomination during the 8th Wish Music Awards for the Wish Rock/ Alternative Song of the Year award.

Like the “Huminga” singer, the lads of One Click Straight (Sam Marquez, Tim Marquez, Toffer Marquez, and Joel Cartera) are also treading a path of musical evolution and revolution.

When talking about their band’s continuous exploration and nonchalant energy, lead guitarist Sam Marquez — who penned their most-streamed track, “MRT,” which is a song about traveling with the person that you love — shared their drive to always go out of their comfort zones. When it comes to their musical genres, aesthetics, instruments, and vocals, the band is not afraid to push themselves and change things up whenever they want to.

“Because we just really like doing what we want to do and there’s no pattern to it. That’s how life is. You want to dress up in a sando? That’s pretty rad to me. That’s just the way it goes for us.”
