London-born indie pop star Dua Lipa recently visited the Philippines to stage an exclusive showcase with her Filipino fans.

The intimate event, presented by Warner Music Philippines, was held in Marco Polo Ortigas on May 13, Saturday.

The award-winning international act is on tour to promote her upcoming album, slated for release this June. Apart from the record, she will also be part of the “In The Mix” music festival line-up which will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena in August. The British singer/songwriter will be invading the concert scene together with 5 Seconds of Summer, DNCE, Zara Larsson, Daya and Two Door Cinema Club.

Prior to the said exclusive event, the 21-year-old artist boarded the Wish 107.5 Bus and treated her fans with a setlist of her acclaimed singles, “Thinking ‘Bout You” and “Blow Your Mind.” She also rendered a WISHclusive performance of her latest track, “Lost in Your Light.”

The said songs will be part of her self-titled debut album.

“I’ve been waiting for [this] for a long time. This album will show the other side of who I am because it’s very diverse. I’m just excited to see what everybody thinks and which songs people will like the most,” she beamed in an interview with DJ Robin.

Dua’s much-anticipated music offering will be composed of previously released songs and fresh materials that will make the album sound “as new as possible.”

As a message to her supporters, she exclaimed, “Thank you so much. Thank you for listening, for the love and the support. I’m so excited to be here.”

Besides doing more music-related projects, Dua also revealed that she wishes to travel the world and see more places she’s never been to before.

Dua was first discovered when she began posting covers of Christina Aguilera and Nelly Furtado hits on YouTube when she was only 14.
