Oct 16, 2018

Wish 107.5 Live, the newest online show from Wish 107.5 to hit YouTube, is off to a good start as big-name musical acts graced its pilot week — from the Philippines’ Concert King Martin Nievera and Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista to ‘90s OPM sensations INTRoVOYS and Perf De Castro.

The program, helmed by DJ Robin Nievera and hosted on Wish 107.5’s YouTube channel, airs live from the Wish Bus USA. Its maiden broadcast premiered on October 8 in Los Angeles.

Bautista, who performed his classic revivals of “Hands to Heaven” and “Beautiful Girl,” expressed his delight of seeing LA-based Filipinos’ support for Wish 107.5’s latest endeavor.

Christian Bautista lent his smooth pipes as he hopped on the Wish Bus USA on October 8 PDT.

“I’m happy to see that many Filipinos came to see the Wish Bus. We were given a warm welcome, perhaps because they also miss our country,” the balladeer shared in an interview, lauding the concept of the recently-unveiled musical bus to bring Filipino music and artists in the entertainment capital of the world.

For INTRoVOYS drummer Paco Arespacochaga, it was a wish-granted experience to have performed along the famed Hollywood Boulevard.

“I’ve been walking the streets of Hollywood for the past 17 years, I never thought that I’d be playing on Hollywood Boulevard, much less in an environment like what we’ve had earlier,” the OPM veteran said after performing their hits like “Line to Heaven” and “Just A Dream” with his band aboard the Wish Bus USA.

Calling the bus’ idea as “authentic” and “raw,” he further remarked that “artists who will get to perform on it will be truly blessed to showcase their work.”

Martin Nievera, who dropped by to support his eldest son DJ Robin, treated the show’s audience with an impromptu set featuring his well-loved smashes, “Say That You Love Me” and “Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin.”

Guitar virtuoso Perf De Castro, notable for his works with Rivermaya and the late Francis Magalona, was also included in Wish 107.5’s stellar line-up of guests for its debut broadcast week. De Castro was with his US-based band Rockstallion during his guesting.

Other Pinoy performers who shared their musical prowess aboard the Wish Bus USA were YouTube sensation and Capitol Records artist Karencitta, Lakan and Michael Keith. Foreign acts also graced the show, including American guitarist Ty Asoudegan, Turkish singer-songwriter BUEL, and X-Factor Romania finalist Cezar Guna, among others.
