7 Things to Know About Jessica Reynoso

Jessica Reynoso rose to fame when she finished off as a finalist in the first season of the popular reality competition, The Voice of the Philippines. Just a few years after this, she has reached so much of her dreams now. Here is a list of things we should know about this fast-rising star.

1. Jessica was only 17 years old when she auditioned for the Voice, making her the youngest finalists in the entire competition.

2. Jessica’s exotic and striking look can be attributed to her descent – half Filipino and half African-American.

3. Jessica was already belting out Whitney Houston’s “Greatest Love of All” when she was 5 years old. When she turned 9, she joined the Philippine television singing talent show, Popstar Kids.

4. The musical influences of Jessica are beyond her young age. She cites Whitney Houston, Barbra Streisand, and Aretha Franklin as her heroes in the music industry.

5. In the morning game show Singing Bee, Jessica became one of the “Songbees”, along with other alumni of the Voice of the Philippines.

6. Since Jessica’s stint in the Voice, she has released various dance singles which were cordially received by her fans and supporters. Some of these are “Crazy Bout U”, “Just Like You”, and “Sing Along”.

7. Jessica was also recently signed under BMBX, the music label of her coach during the Voice, Apl d Ap. Apl has greatly helped Jessica in her career. They have in fact collaborated in the upcoming album of the well-known Black Eyed Peas member.

Aside from all these happenings in Jessica’s life, she is also up for four nominations in the upcoming Wish 107.5 Music Awards – Best WISHclusive Performance by a Female Artist for “We Found Love”, Wish Urban and Wish Original Song for “Crazy Bout You”, and Wish Female Artist of the Year.
